So true- and I am still pondering as to how many otherwise apparently sane Americans ( and Brits for that matter) could ever have been taken in by G W Bush , Rumsfeld and co. It is very telling that Bush senior has never come out in favour of the war in Iraq and indeed elected not to get rid of Saddam at the time of the first Gulf War because he feared the blood-bath that has now ensued.
